Rock Bound book cover

Coming May 15 from Inara Press...

Rock Bound

Of course, if you’ve signed up for this newsletter, you already knew that, but it never hurts to remind people.

It’s a busy time right now at Inara Press. We are launching our first books next week! And, to help us celebrate our launch, Inara Press will be the featured publisher at Suite Magazine’s Suite Escape Lounge, which is a Yahoo group. You must be over 18 to join the group, and it is a moderated group, so you need to join in advance at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/suite_escape.

Suite Escape

Inara Press will be featured all week. Dawn Seewer, our publisher; Sara Reinke, our Marketing Director and I will all be dropping in from time to time to talk about what we hope to accomplish at Inara, and to promote our books. The authors will be highlighted and we’ll be publishing excerpts and giving away prizes. Inara Press is bringing back the serial, complete with hair-raising cliff-hanger endings, and bringing it into the 21st Century by publishing our serials on-line! I’m really excited to be working with these wonderful people.

Here are copies of the cover art of the books we’ll be launching:

I will be featured on Suite Escape on Tuesday. Here’s the schedule, as described by our Marketing Director, Sara:

Each day, Inara authors will be sharing exclusive sneak peeks and excerpts from their titles, answering reader questions, discussing the craft of writing and more. Plus, they'll giving away at random Reader Reward points good towards the purchase of any Inara Press single title or 12-installment Seron Serials release.

Oestara Anthology of Pagan Poetry book cover

And, finally…

Oestara Publishing’s Pagan Poetry Anthology has won the 2006 EPPIE award for Best Poetry Book! The anthology contains the winners of the Pagan Poetry Contest conducted by Oestara Publishing and was judged by Raymond T. Anderson, Cynthia Joyce Clay and Delight Clay, each of whom commented on the winners and added poetry and/or commentary. What does this have to do with me? I proofed the book! The EPPIE awards are conferred by the Electronic Publishing Internet Connection, which sets the standards for professional electronic publishing. The EPPIES are the Oscars of electronic publishing.

All in all, it is a pleasure to be associated with such a talented and professional group of people at both publishing houses, and I hope you’ll check us out.
