Rock Bound!

Buy it Now at Red Rose Publishing™

Rock Bound is finally here, and I'm so excited I'm doing a major happy dance today. I want to thank Wendi Felter for publishing it and everyone at Red Rose without whom this day would not have arrived.

Shaiha Williams was my editor. She edited Rock Bound when it was published as an Inara serial oh-so-long-ago. She was thrilled to read the “grown up” version, and said it was even better than the first and well worth the long wait. I suppose I could consider that my first review...

I also have new cover art and I love it. It says what I wanted it to say about the book, and I'm sure it'll help increase sales. I'm really thrilled by it and very grateful to my cover artist, Marteeka Karland. She's a sweetie and we worked together choosing a person and the background. My line edtior was Zena Gainer. She's an absolute dynamo with eagle eyes. Our Editor in Chief is Lea Shizas. She keeps us all in line and comes up with the release schedule. Our art director, Shirley Burnette, won't allow a cover to go up unless it's perfect. And what can I say about our incredible, anonymous Web Mistress? I honestly don't know how she manages to get everything done on time and include such wonderful animations. The books move around on the sales page so that even if your name begins with a W, your book is not always the last one listed! Thank you, everyone.

Most of all, thank you to anyone who buys Rock Bound! I hope you'll enjoy reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it.

Here's my trailer!

Here are some Reviews

Of the Old Serial Version:

Wantz Upon a Time's Joelle Charbonneau-Blanco says “Weber's strong descriptive abilities are put to good use in this volume. The moon and the unique needs of a space colony come across in vivid detail and the characters each have their own histories and abilities, which help the colony survive. Any science fiction reader will appreciate the world Weber has created.”

Here's Another One.

Cherokee of Coffee Time Romance gave Rock Bound four out of five coffee cups. She wrote: Rock Bound allows all of Annie’s emotions, ... pain and loss [to] come to life through the pages. When she begins to hold feelings for Jake while still harboring [feelings for her late husband] Paul, the scene is riveting. Ms. Weber [creates] a serial that leaves the reader breathless with on-the-edge-of-your-seat entertainment with an endless list of characters. I can hardly wait to read more about these very interesting [people] in this great tale. This is a very tightly written story.

So What's the Book About?

When the US Constitution is abolished and Congress is disbanded, Annie Peterson and Jake Johnsrud are among the thousands of people who descend upon the Mall in Washington, DC, to protest. In a massacre reminiscent of Tiananmen Square, many of the protesters are killed by US troops. The able-bodied survivors are conscripted into indentured servitude by the Luna Mining Corporation—a company owned by the President. Annie and Jake struggle to adjust to life on the Moon—Jake as a miner, and Annie as a doxy to “service” the miners. Jake fights increasing feelings of anger and jealousy as Annie struggles to perform her job. She also resists her increasing attraction to Jake. Along with their fellow inmates, they fight to survive on the lunar “rock” that is their prison.
